A hand from the 17th or 18th century would have erased Tacuinum from the incipit, replacing it with Theatrum.
The manuscript was purchased in 1773 for the Biblioteca Casanatense by the then prefect Giovanni Battista Audifreddi (Saorge, 02/02/1714-Rome, 04/07/1794). Audifreddi became prefect of the Biblioteca Casanatense in 1759. The history of the manuscript prior to 1773 remains unknown.
